Perspectives with Personalized Practice is designed to align with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and to protect student privacy throughout the experience.
The activity does not collect or store personally identifiable information (PII). No names, email addresses, or institutional identifiers are gathered or linked to student responses. CDI does retain de-identified chat transcripts so that our research and engineering teams can periodically review activity performance and ensure responses remain accurate, safe, and aligned with course learning goals, but these transcripts cannot be traced back to individual students.
Instructors do not have access to individual chat content. Consistent with current Perspectives practice, instructors only see graded quiz responses and completion data, never open-ended dialogue.
